Bee Buzzer

In this activity (found on page 7 of the PDF), learners make a device that simulates the sound of a bee's wings. A rubber band is wrapped around a craft stick and two corks, and a index card and string allow the whole thing to be swung around quickly. The air passing between the craft stick and the rubber band creates vibrations and a buzzing sound. This activity comes from a larger resource, Camp in a Can, which is sold with all materials necessary for running a science "camp."
