Learners look at labels on items in the room to determine where each item was manufactured, then write about the item on an index card. Learners then use string to connect the index card to the place on a world map showing where in the world it was manufactured. This is an excellent activity to teach geography, global interdependence, and also data representation. When learners set up a free account at Kinetic City, they can answer bonus questions at the end of the activity as a quick assessment. As a larger assessment, learners can complete the Bug Blaster game after they've completed several activities.
