Lakes, streams and other freshwater bodies are a habitat for lots of living things, big and small. In this outdoor activity, learners will build their own net in order to collect and observe their aquatic neighbors. Their new tool lets learners investigate potential difference in locations and conditions across aquatic environments. Step-by-step instructions are included with photos and safety recommendations. Activity guide includes a "What's going on?" explanation and relevant connections to the relationship between macroinvertebrates and the health of a body of water.
