Project Blue Planet Contest

Project Blue PlanetYour school or community group could win $1500 for starting an eco-team or eco-themed project that educates kids and inspires them to take action about an environmental problem. Enter the Project Blue Planet contest, which challenges kids nationwide to involve their schools and communities in conservation. Projects must be completed by August 31, and could involve recyclying, setting up a no-trash lunch program, reducing energy use, cleaning up a community, planting a wildlife-friendly garden, or other ideas you want to try. You can start by looking at sample projects from past years of the contest, which is sponsored by Friends of the National Zoo.
