Exploring Size: Scented Balloons

good for blind students; explores nanotechnology phenomena

Ice Balloons

add food color ahead or after the balloons are frozen. Do comparisons by adding salt or pour water on them. Needs to freeze over night. Pack a flashlight.

Balloon Rocket

Good if there is some space in your booth or near an outdoor field to launch these.

Yeast-Air Balloons

Classic activity where you compare yeast with cold vs. warm water, sugar vs. honey vs. plain water. Use durable bottles with long necks on them to keep the balloons from flying off. Some kids light to decorate with a face.

Identify Your Fingerprints

This works *really* well. Kids love to find those perfect spiral sworls on fingers.
