Learners observe a flask with a balloon attached over the mouth and inverted inside the flask. This display from The Nature of Matter unit in OMSI's Chemistry Lab has great potential as a demonstration or experiment in your classroom. Learners will gain a general understanding of the difference between a liquid and a gas, particularly that air is a gas and that gas molecules exert pressure.
