In this online activity exploring our perception of "cuteness," learners adjust various factors (like pupil size or length of limbs) on a face, a cat, and a hammer. Learners alter the images for cuteness (or its opposite), and explore why we find some shapes and images cuter than others. There is also a "What's Going On" web page that talks about how we've evolved to find cuteness in some places and not others, and why it's often the case that roundness equals cuteness. The online activity itself can be done with young kids, but the concepts discussed will be of interest to older learners as well.
