In this activity, learners will turn healthy greens into crispy snacks. Explore concepts of nutrition, dehydration and cooking to create healthy food. This activity uses low cost materials and be done at home. Activity includes step-by-step instructions.

Quick Guide
Materials List (per group of students)
- 6–8 cups kale (about 1 pound)
- 1 ½ tsp vegetable or olive oil
- Bowl of water
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon or spatula
- Parchment paper and towels
- Seasoning blend (use one of the blends below, or create your own)
- Basil & Oregano—1 tsp basil and 1 tsp oregano, 1/8 tsp salt Rosemary—1 tsp rosemary, 1/8 tsp salt
- Salt & Pepper—¼ tsp black pepper, 1/8 tsp salt
- Parmesan Cheese—¼ cup parmesan cheese
- Cinnamon & Sugar–1 tsp ground cinnamon, ½ tsp sugar
