In this engineering/design activity, learners make a kite, fly it, and then work to improve the design. Learners explore how their kite design variations affect flight. Learners can test their kite outdoors on a breezy day, or indoors where an electric fan is available. Resource includes historical and background information related to kites as well as tips for kite building.
