In this activity, learners explore the principles of magnetism by observing how various materials interact with magnets and superconductors. Learners first predict whether a variety of objects will be attracted to a magnet, then test their hypotheses. The materials list includes the materials for the main activity; the optional demos require additional materials. Use this activity to talk about material properties such as strength, density, color, interaction with light, etc. [Activity is publicly available through a web crawler capture on Archive.org.]
