In this activity, learners will construct a measuring device (snake "string") to improve their observation skills. The snake "string" is used to check estimated lengths of pretend snakes like toys, ropes, or belts. Includes step by step instructions, chart, a "What's Going On" section relating the activity to the natural world and suggested resorces for extension activity. Can be used as game or competition.
