In this activity, Christina Elson, an archaeologist from the American Museum of Natural History, guides learners as they investigate an "artifact" and record their observations in a field journal. Learners analyze an object selected by a friend/partner and complete an "Artifact Analysis." Learners use Christina's field journal as a model. Learners are encouraged to continue adding new pages to their journal.
