In this activity, learners will experiment with the physics of forces - kinetic energy and friction while making a moving toy woodpecker. The activity explores connections of these forces to the natural world. Includes template, step by step instructions with video and a "What's going on" section including information on Florida woodpeckers. Requires scissor use.
