Learners will follow a specific process to make their own paper using scrap paper, newspaper, or junk mail. The activity includes a time and age recommendation, a materials list, step-by-step set up instructions, tips for adults, learning and skills connections, and a note about doing STEAM with kids. This activity requires a blender. There is also an option to use an iron or a hair dryer.

Materials List (per group of students)
- About a cup of warm water
- Used paper (such as newspaper, copy/print paper, magazine paper, junk mail, NOT construction paper)
- Wire hanger
- Nylon stocking
- Blender
- Rags or towels
- Large colander or mixing bowl
- Optional: shiny paper, glitter, rolling pin, hair dryer, iron, ironing board
