In this activity, learners capture and observe planaria, which are worms that eat tiny pond critters. Use this activity to discuss the diversity of life forms present in different habitats like ponds. Safety note: learners must wash their hands with soap and water after handling raw meat and messing around in pond water. Tiny bacteria can live in uncooked meat and pond water, and could make them sick.
