In this self-measuring activity, learners measure and record the length of their foot. Learners are encouraged to take and record the same kinds of measurements for their family members, teachers and classmates. Then learners use these units of measurement to measure their classroom or bedroom length and width, and compare differences in measurements from various (nonstandard) "feet."
