Bird Nests

In this outdoor activity, learners build bird nests and place them in the activity area, then play the role of naturalists as they try to locate each other's nests. Learners consider how bird nests vary in shape, materials and location. After the activity, learners are encouraged to take home the nests they made and place them in a tree or bush to see if any birds nest in them or borrow materials from them for their own nests.
