Tidepool in the Classroom

In this activity (page 4 of the pdf), learners build a model of a tide pool, using chicken wire, paper mache, and other craft materials. Then learners work independently, researching what lives in tide pools and creating a model of their chosen creature. Each learner presents his or her model animal to the group, explaining how the animal has adapted for life in the tidepool. The guide also includes two worksheets to guide students through their research and prepare them for their presentations.
