The Effects of Acid Rain

In this environmental science activity (page 4 of the PDF), learners use vinegar and chalk to observe the effect of acid rain on various building materials and plant life. Learners will explore how the chemicals in acid rain can damage both human-made materials and natural organisms. Though this activity was created as a pre-visit for a traveling science show, it makes a great stand-alone activity as well!
