Sled Kite

In this activity, learners build a sled kite that models a type of airfoil called a parawing. Learners keep a journal on the behavior of the kite and test different variables (tail, tail length, speed, height, etc.). This lesson plan includes background information related to the NASA Paraglider Research Vehicle (Paresev), discussion questions, extensions, sled kite template, visual instruction sheet, and sample journal page.
