Manufacturing Technologies: Making a Picture Frame

Learners examine the manufacturing process while they make picture frames from cereal boxes. Although this is a simple project, it gives learners the opportunity to think about and discuss the more complex engineering topics of: mass production, quality control, production efficiency, safety, product design, and distribution. Resource contains vocabulary definitions and suggestions for assessment, extensions, and scaling for different levels of learners.
