In this activity, learners use their sense of smell to explore the world on the nanoscale. Learners discover that we can smell some things that are too small to see, and that a nanometer is a billionth of a meter. SAFETY: The balloons are latex. In addition to posting the included sign, you may wish to verbally warn learners of possible sensitivities or allergies to latex.
