Homemade Snow

In this sensory activity, learners enjoy the fun of a snow day any season of the year. Learners create simulated snow and explore basic chemical reactions by combining baking soda and shampoo, conditioner, or shaving cream. After they make their snow, learners can play, mold, and draw pictures in their creation; experimenting with different materials to see which recipe makes the fluffiest or most packable snow. Activity includes step-by-step instructions and a section explaining how this mixture mimics real snow.
