In this physics activity (page 4 of the PDF), learners will construct their own spiral "snake" and use it to explore the relationship between heat and kinetic energy. They will observe the effect on the snake from two different sources of heat. Though this activity was created as a pre-visit for a traveling science show, it makes a great stand-alone activity as well!
