In this activity (located in the middle of the page), learners start a garden by planting their socks! Learners place a pair of old socks over their shoes, walk through a field to collect seeds from plants, and then plant them in the ground. Learners will be amazed to see that their socks will soon sprout plants. Use this activity to introduce seed dispersal and modes of dispersal (wind, animals). [Activity is publicly available through a web crawler capture on Archive.org.]
