In this activity, learners will create a speaker using a paper cup, magnet, and enameled wire. Also included in this activity is a Mr. O video that explains how speakers work and how to make the speaker. The activity guide also includes information about electromagnetism and sound vibrations.

- permanent magnet (the stronger the better, but handle really strong magnets with care)
- enameled wire (available at most electronic hobby shops like Radio Shack)
