In this math lesson, learners practice reading charts and graphs by creating and interpreting glyphs. Learners use a Glyph Interpretation Sheet to construct flower-shaped glyphs that reveal information about themselves and their interests. Learners interpret and compare each others' glyphs to discover what things are the same and what things are different. As an extension, learners can make bar graphs, line graphs and/or pictographs.
