This is an activity about music, movement, and math. Learners will start a rhythm pattern with 2, 3, or 4 beats. For instance, tap your foot, jump, clap, repeat. When everyone is following along, try the pattern double (or triple) time. For more challenge, divide into two groups: one half continues the pattern and the other doubles it. Use this short activity to focus attention: it’s easy to vary each time — just choose a different rhythm pattern. [Activity is publicly available through a web crawler capture on Archive.org.]
