In this activity, learners use whale count data from the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary to compare whale counts in relation to environmental factors. Learners will calculate the average number of whales counted per site and then graph and analyze this data. This activity can be used in relation to any lessons on endangered species, conservation, and/or data analysis.
