In this outdoor activity, learners use only their senses to to find the extremes of several environmental variables or physical factors: wind, temperature, light, slope and moisture. Learners also consider how animals behave in these enivronments and how animals (including humans) select their habitats. explore the environmental factors that change from season to season, day to day, and even hour to hour, causing plants and animals to make adjustments for survival. This is a good activity for a hot, cold, windy, rainy, or snowy day rather than a pleasant calm day.
