Catch the Wind

In this weather activity (page 1 of the PDF), learners will construct their very own anemometer to measure wind speed. Although this activity was designed to be used after a museum workshop about weather, it also makes an excellent stand-alone activity.

  • Bright paint
  • Sharp, thin nail

  • Pencil with eraser
  • Spool of thread
  • Glue or cord
  • Block of wood or a flat stone
