Test Density with a Supersaturated Solution

The behaviors of the plants and animals that thrive in the unique estuarine water system around the GTM Research Reserve rely heavily on consitant measures of salinty to maintain their relationships to the water. As scientists, we test salinity measurments frequently to assure water quality for all of the species that we monitor. Students and teachers can create this testing method in their classroom, in addition to a lesson about how objects react to levels of salinity in their measure of density.
