In this activity (7th activity on the page), learners use their sense of hearing to find a "sound match." Learners shake containers filled with items like dry seeds, sand, beans, etc. and hunt around the room trying to find their matching noise maker by listening to the sounds. Learners can make the shakers ahead of time by completing "Sound Shakers/Noise Makers" listed above this activity on the page. Use this activity as a lesson on hearing or as an ice breaker/introduction activity. This activity page includes a link to background information about the ear and hearing.
