In this game-like activity (5th activity on the page), learners explore their auditory acuity as well as the importance of having two ears. Learners sit in a circle with a blindfolded learner sitting in the middle. Learners in the circle take turns calling the blindfolded person's name, who then tries to point in the direction of the voice and identify the speaker. Learners compare the accuracy of the blindfolded person's guesses as well as what happens when they cover one ear. Use this activity to investigate how we hear and/or as an ice breaker activity. This activity page includes a link to background information about the ear and hearing.
